Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo: Eyewitness on 'horrendous' crash
Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo appeared to explode after being released from a carrier aircraft at high altitude, according to Ken Brown, a photographer who witnessed the blast.
At least one person was killed and another was injured when Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo space tourism craft crashed in a California desert.
The craft was flying a manned test when it experienced what the company described as "a serious anomaly".
Photographer Ken Brown said: "Everything seemed to be going normally when they came overhead.
"They released the space craft, lit the engine. And it's a little difficult to tell how long it was but it burned for a time, and then just exploded.
"It was quite horrendous."
