Poverty gap - in 15 seconds

The gap between rich and poor is at the highest level in 30 years, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Its survey of 34 countries also found that income inequality has a "statistically significant impact" on a country's economic growth.

It says rising inequality in the UK has cost the economy almost nine percentage points of GDP growth between 1990 and 2010.
