Anti-abortion activists march in Washington, DC

On Thursday, tens of thousands of anti-abortion protesters marched in Washington on the anniversary of Roe v Wade, the US Supreme Court decision legalising abortion in 1973.

As they gathered on the Mall, the US House passed a bill to tighten restrictions on abortion.

The BBC spoke to protesters from around the country about why they came to the US capital for the annual March for Life.
