US snow: Statue of Liberty time-lapse

New York has awoken to a blanket of snow less deep than feared, with forecasts downgraded and a transport ban lifted in the city.

However, the snow has still turned some of the city's most iconic landmarks white, including the area around the Statue of Liberty.

Time-lapse footage, recorded over 24 hours from 0800EST on Monday, shows the view from the monument.
