US blizzard: New York slowly getting back to normal
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio defended his decision to shut down the city ahead of what he said could be a historic blizzard Monday night, after conditions were not as bad as forecasters originally thought they would be.
"The bottom line is: We got lucky," Mr de Blasio said in a press conference Tuesday morning.
Travel bans in New York City and New Jersey have been lifted after the snowfall was not as high as predicted.
