North Charleston mayor: 'Body cameras are on order'
The mayor of North Charleston has announced that "body cameras are on order" in the wake of the shooting of an unarmed black man by a white police officer.
Walter Scott was shot by Michael Slager and footage of the incident was filmed by a passer-by, leading to a murder charge for the officer.
Mayor Keith Summey called the incident a "horrible tragedy" and praised relatives of Mr Scott as an "outstanding family in our community".
