Obama on Iran: 'We've sent a clear message to Iranians'

In an exclusive interview with BBC News, President Obama defended the nuclear deal that the US - and other international powers - reached with Iran.

Mr Obama told the BBC's North America editor Jon Sopel that the priority had been to shut off a pathway for Iran getting a nuclear weapon.

But he said that the US would still hold Iran to account when it threatened Israel or attempted to destabilise other American allies in the region.
