Greek ambassador: 'We warned of the crisis'
"Bold and determined action" - that is what is needed to address the migrant crisis says the president of the European Commission.
One of the pressure points of the crisis is in Lesbos, Greece, where thousands of people are arriving each day and the country is struggling to process them.
The BBC's Laura Trevelyan spoke to Greece's Ambassador to the US - Christos Panagopoulos - about this issue.
Mr Pangaopoulos said Greece had warned of a crisis for "quite some years".
"But a lot of our European partners said good words to us but no action until the problem came into their own backyard."
