Yeats masterclass by renowned Irish actress
The Kennedy Center in Washington DC is hosting Ireland 100, a three-week celebration of Irish history, arts and culture to mark a century since the Easter Rising.
That was the violent rebellion in 1916 that eventually led to partition and independence.
Artist-in-residence Fiona Shaw kicked off the festival with a dramatic reading of WB Yeats' famous poem Easter 1916.
She explains to the BBC the power of his words.
