Zika virus: Window for fighting Zika in US 'closing'

The window to step up Zika prevention efforts in the United States is closing - that's the assessment from the head of the Centers for Disease Control, Dr Thomas Frieden.

His words come amid a bitter battle over funding, and concerns are rising that the virus, which causes birth defects, could spread in the US during summer months.

Dr Frieden spoke to the BBC's Laura Trevelyan in Washington.
