Congressman says Trump must change campaign trajectory to win

Alabama Congressman Bradley Byrne is supporting Donald Trump - his state is solidly behind the millionaire businessman.

Mr Byrne told BBC Radio 4's World at One programme he believed Donald Trump could beat Hillary Clinton but only if he changed "the trajectory of his own campaign".

Although the Congressman agrees with Mr Trump that the US should temporarily suspend immigration from the most volatile countries and thoroughly vet everyone who wants to enter the country, Mr Byrne said that "using inappropriate language" about Muslims is "counterproductive to combatting terrorism".
