Face transplant patient: 'Now I have hope'
Patrick Hardison, the volunteer fireman who underwent the world's most extensive face transplant has been speaking about his new found hope, one year on since his pioneering plastic surgery.
The 42-year-old can now see, hear, eat and breathe normally and has a full head of hair.
Hardison has had 71 reconstructive surgeries after a building collapsed on him in Senatobia, Mississippi, in 2001.
