Hurricane Matthew leaves at least 283 dead in Haiti

At least 283 people are now known to have been killed by Hurricane Matthew, which has swept across the Caribbean island of Haiti.

Large parts of the island have been unreachable, leaving survivors without food. The hurricane is now heading for Florida, where millions of people have been told to leave their homes.
