How to stop receiving nuisance calls

A cold-calling firm, Keurboom Communications, has been fined a record £400,000 by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) for making almost 100 million nuisance calls.

Simon Entwistle, deputy information commissioner of the ICO, told the Today programme that people who do not wish to receive cold-calls should sign up to the Telephone Preference Service.
