Monterey Park: Police say early info suggests suspect an Asian male

Ten people have been killed after a gunman opened fire at a ballroom dance studio in the city of Monterey Park, California.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said the preliminary findings are that the suspect is an Asian male but that police have received different descriptions of the suspect.

He emphasised several times this was a very early suggestion and an update would be provided later.

The suspect is still at large.
