Countless cars stranded after historic flood in Fort Lauderdale
Record rainfall has left the Florida city underwater, closing roads and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, where some stranded passengers were forced to stay overnight.
The National Weather Service says up to 25in (63cm) of rain fell near the airport.
Rescue efforts are underway throughout the city.
