Singapore searches for more local chefs

The restaurant guide Michelin launches for the first time in Singapore on Thursday.

The city state has long been a destination for food lovers from around the world.

Traditionally the industry has been served by mainly foreign workers, but that is changing. Curbs on foreign labour are causing huge headaches for the hospitality sector.

Now the challenge is to find more local employees, as the BBC's Sharanjit Leyl reports.
