Nottingham Forest have signed goalkeeper John Victor from Brazilian side Botafogo.
The 29-year-old has signed a three-year contract at the City Ground.
Forest have already signed Scotland international Angus Gunn on a free transfer, but boss Nuno Espirito Santo had always wanted to sign another keeper.
Victor has previously played for Santos in Brazil and also had a loan spell at Real Valladolid in Spain.
Chief football officer Ross Wilson said: "John has caught the attention of many clubs after some impressive seasons in Brazil, so we're pleased he has chosen Forest as his next step.
"Matz [Sels] had a standout season last year, and we also have Angus and young Aaron [Bott] in the group, meaning John joins a strong cohort of keepers that will push each other and will help each other improve.
"He arrives here hungry to make an impact and we're excited to welcome him."
Forest are also expected to complete the signing of left-back Cuiabano from Botafogo, meaning they have signed four from the Brazilian side this summer.
Striker Igor Jesus and defender Jair Cunha arrived in July for a combined total of about £20m.
Analysis: One game will not change Marinakis and Nuno talkspublished at 19:30 BST 31 August

The optics of a defeat by a side who had lost their opening two Premier League games before being knocked out of the Carabao Cup in midweek are not good.
Nottingham Forest were second best in every department and Nuno Espirito Santo would have undoubtedly preferred to go into talks with Evangelos Marinakis on the back of a win.
One game will not change the dynamic of the conversation with both characters willing to be honest with each other.
Nuno and Marinakis have said they do not expect a problem in their discussions - which will happen during the international break rather than immediately after the game.
Nuno himself also stressed the defeat will not have a bearing on the talk, insisting it was important to separate the two issues in an attempt to move forward.
The Portuguese said on Friday he expects to still be in charge after the international break and his stock with the fans remains high, even if there were a smattering of boos at the final whistle.
Supporters respect and admire both men, with the fanbase hoping they can both come to a successful outcome.

Nuno Espirito Santo spoke to BBC Match of the Day after Nottingham Forest's defeat against West Ham: "We were in control and dominant and should have done some things better. The second half was bad.
"We got unbalanced and the urgency to chase the result and not be careful. Summerville created some problems. Since the beginning of the game, we didn't show the urgency this game required. We should have done much more.
"There are a couple of moments where we had good situations in the box but not as much as required in a home game.
"We go home, we watch the game and try to make sure we don't perform this way again."
On talks with Evangelos Marinakis: "We have to talk and address things. This result doesn't help things but we have to address what the club needs. My job now is to help the team. We have a challenge and we must enjoy and play better football. It's my job. It's a sad day, we are upset but we have a second chance to make it right."
In the second half, when we asked for more, it turned out to be the other way around. We were not able to break West Ham due to lack of movement. A very bad day for us.
"We were complacent. We need to look at what happened to make sure it doesn't happen again. We allowed them to kill the game, but after the second goal they were organised."
On West Ham's penalty: "You cannot look only at that, you have to look at how we played today.
On the transfer deadline: "We have been talking about a goalkeeper. We know what is needed so hopefully we can work it out."
Did you know?
Nottingham Forest attempted just one shot in the first half; their fewest in a half of football at the City Ground since they returned to the Premier League in 2022. They managed more shots on target in the opening 61 seconds of the second half (1) than they did in the entire opening period (0).

It's been a good start to the season for Nottingham Forest despite all of their off-the-pitch turbulence. They got a draw last week coming from behind at Crystal Palace and were excellent against Brentford in their first game.
West Ham look flimsy and were knocked out of the League Cup in midweek. Graham Potter is under serious pressure. Potter needs to wave his magic wand!
I'm really worried about West Ham. I think the West Ham fans have had enough already and we're not even in September yet. After their cup loss Jarrod Bowen tried to confront some Hammers fans - that wasn't super, smashing or great from Bowen. He later apologised.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has signed a new three-year-deal which will keep him at Nottingham Forest until 2028.
The winger has made 72 appearances in all competitions since joining from Chelsea in September 2023. He's scored 14 goals and registered six assists.
"This is home, and l've enjoyed every moment," said Hudson-Odoi. "I appreciate all the support and love I've been getting since day one, and coming here has helped me in every way possible."
Chief football officer, Ross Wilson said: "It has been a busy summer for all of us here at Nottingham Forest. As well as strengthening our squad, we have also been active in extending contracts of the core of the team that has put us in this exciting position as a key part of our strategy.
"We all love Callum and from the first second we met back in 2023 to discuss him joining the club it has been a pleasure to work with him.
"Everyone knows how important he has been on the pitch, but he also plays a big role off it. He is popular amongst all of our players and staff, and we're delighted he has committed to the Club signing this new deal.
"We are sure there's more great moments to come from Callum."

Beleaguered West Ham United boss Graham Potter continues his search for a first win of the season as his side travel to face Nuno Espirito Santo's Nottingham Forest. BBC Sport takes a look at some of the key themes as doubts surround the futures of both managers.
West Ham's woes continue
The start of West Ham United's season is unravelling quickly due to failings that have persisted from the past Premier League campaign.
Graham Potter is nearly eight months into his tenure in east London but he continues to struggle to instil his preferred possession-based style of football. The Hammers would be bottom of a Premier League table featuring only the ever-present clubs since Potter's first league game in charge on 14 January.
The former Brighton and Chelsea boss called for unity after Tuesday's messy League Cup defeat in the West Midlands to a Wolves side who had failed to score in two opening defeats in the Premier League.
Although that loss took place in a different competition, throwing away a one-goal lead in the last eight minutes is another familiar theme... West Ham have dropped an unrivalled 15 points from winning positions under Potter.

Two wins since March
Since the start of March, the Hammers have won just two of 13 Premier League matches (D4, L7).
They have faced the most shots on target in the top-flight this season (12), while only Tottenham and Brighton have conceded more goals since Potter joined.
Two defeats whilst conceding eight goals in 2025-26 constitutes West Ham's worst start to a league season since 1954.
Next they face Nottingham Forest - and they haven't scored a Premier League goal at the City Ground since 1996.
If the Hammers are to find a way to prosper under Potter they must surely see out the summer transfer window without losing Lucas Paqueta.
His influential role from last season has continued into this campaign and the 55-cap Brazil international leads the team rankings for tackles (six), possession won (10), successful passes in the final third (43), while he also ranks second for dribbles (seven).
Will Nuno see out August?
Forest are attempting to win their opening two home matches for the first time in a top-flight campaign since the mid-1980s, although the future of head coach Nuno Espirito Santo remains unclear.
The 51-year-old refused to guarantee he would remain at Forest beyond the transfer window after a falling out with owner Evangelos Marinakis over new signings.
The club has spent £140m on eight arrivals, including a combined £72m on wingers Dan Ndoye and Omari Hutchinson – although Nuno has expressed his desire for a new goalkeeper and full-backs, while Anthony Elanga has departed to Newcastle.
The net result is a meeting of two clubs whose managers face uncertain futures. A win for either may not completely assuage the nature of any lingering doubts.
Europa League draw 'really does have a little bit of everything'published at 11:05 BST 30 August

Nottingham Forest's Europa League draw promises "cracking nights" for home supporters and "a little bit of everything" for travelling fans, says BBC Radio Nottingham's Colin Fray.
The Reds will be jetting off to four different countries, while also hosting four teams at the City Ground, in the competition's league stage.
Speaking on the latest episode of Shut Up And Show More Football, Fray said: "There are some very nice places for fans to visit, if they can get their hands on those prized away tickets, and some cracking nights at the City Ground ahead as well.
"Nuno Espirito Santo has a strong relationship with Porto, being a former player and manager, and they will be coming to visit. That's a glamorous fixture in itself as they finished third in the Primeira Liga last season.
"Ferencvaros are the current champions of Hungary, and they have won the Hungarian top flight for the past seven years. Midtjylland from Denmark will also be visiting the City Ground.
"Then we have Malmo - the fixture that will have all of the history. What a lovely tale this is - not only from the 1979 European Cup final, but also from the 1995-96 Uefa Cup round of 64.
"The Reds are back in Europe and reunited once again with the light blues from Sweden, so it really does have a little bit of everything.
"From a fans' point of view, the away fixtures are all in places that aren't ridiculously hard to get to as well."
BBC Radio Nottingham's David Jackson replied: "If I'm being really greedy, I would have fancied a Scottish team. Rangers or Celtic would have been interesting.
"I partly wanted Rangers because they are just getting tonked every week at the moment, so there would have been a good chance of victory!"
