Prof Van-Tam uses football analogy to explain Covid timeline

Professor Jonathan Van-Tam used a football analogy to explain how far along we are in the fight against coronavirus.

England's deputy chief medical officer, and keen Boston United fan, warned that the key thing was "not to throw it away as we have points on the board".

He explained that people need to realise vaccines “aren’t an instant ticket” to get us out of the coronavirus crisis.
