We were in the Placa De Catalina when people started fleeing the street as we heard a large number of police sirens. Police then ushered us into shops and we went in to El Corte Ingles shopping mall on the Placa.

    Quote Message

Then there was a panic in the shop as the rumour is that there was gun fire in the shop (which seems to be a false alarm) but there was panic as we were again ushered to the back of the shop and ultimately all ran to hide in a store room.

    Quote Message

There was a lot of confusion and crying with many people crying and on their phones trying to understand what was happening. It was very frightening for our young children.

    Quote Message

We were ultimately evacuated out of a side exit of the shop and then more confusion as we didn't know where we were with the police forcing us away from the area but not knowing how to get back to our hotel. There were masses of people moving around but little panic by that stage.
