Karl Turner has been re-elected as the MP for Hull East.
According to Hull City Council, the official turnout for the constituency was 41%.

Labour candidate Hamish Falconer has been elected the new MP for Lincoln, taking the seat from Conservative Karl McCartney.
Hamish Falconer said he is "excited" about his hopes in Lincoln
Labour candidate for Lincoln, Hamish Falconer, arrival at Bishop Grosseteste University was met with cheers from his supporters.
Speaking to the BBC, he said: "I'm incredibly excited, but I haven't yet got into the room and talked to the team so I'll see what it looks like, but I really hopes this means we can form a Labour government and try to bring to change to the country and the city that it desperately needs.”
When asked what a Labour landslide would mean for Lincoln, he added: "I will spend every hour and every day working to deliver the promises I made to the people of Lincoln."

Victoria Atkins has held the Louth and Horncastle constituency for the Conservatives with 17,441 votes.
The turnout was 60.63%
Reform UK candidate, Sean Matthews, was second with 11,935 votes and Labour's Jonathan Slater was third with 10,475 votes.

Gareth Davies has taken the newly formed Grantham and Bourne constituency for the Conservatives.
He won 16,770 votes, a 36.4% share.
Labour's Vipul Bechar came second with 12,274 votes and Reform UK candidate Mike Rudkin third with 9,393.

“Let’s wait and see” said Richard Tice as he strolled into the Boston and Skegness count just before 03:00.
He may have been cautious outwardly, but his smile said it all; there’s real confidence from the Reform camp that they’ll overturn the Conservative’s massive majority in the Brexit capital of the UK.
Results are due at 04:00 BST, but there’s consensus in the room that this contest could be too close to call and may need a recount.
Either way Richard Tice, and Reform, may be on the brink of overturning one of the biggest Tory majorities of 2019 and overthrowing the Conservatives from a seat they’ve held since England last won the World Cup in 1966.

Conservative Dr Caroline Johnson has been re-elected as the MP for Sleaford and North Hykeham.
She took 17,348 votes in the poll with Labour candidate Hanif Khan finishing second and Benjamin Jackson of Reform UK in third.

As counting continues in the newly formed Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes constituency, the former MP for Great Grimsby, Lia Nici has told the BBC "the public are going to give the Conservatives a kicking".
She was speaking as it looks to be close between Labour and Reform UK.
Ms Nici added: "It's going to be tough, I always knew it was going to be. It's a three horse race.
"I've worked my hardest and represented the people of Grimsby the best I can.
"I'm not expecting I'm going to win, I don't think I'm going to win but it's not looking positive".

Sir Nic Dakin has been elected MP for Scunthorpe
Sir Nic Dakin has been re-elected to the seat he last held in 2019.
He was the MP in the Scunthorpe constituency from 2010, but lost the seat to Holly Mumby-Croft at the last general election in 2019 before clawing it back today.
Sir Nic received 15,484 votes, creating thankful smiles on the people wearing red rosettes.
In second place came the Conservative candidate Holly Mumby-Croft with 11,942.
Reform UK candidate Darren Haley received 8,163 votes.

Charmaine Morgan is one of the candidates hoping to represent Grantham and Bourne
Charmaine Morgan, who is standing as a Lincolnshire Independent in Grantham and Bourne, tells the BBC she is “deeply concerned” that none of the mainstream parties appear to be offering the level of investment and support “our communities desperately need”, especially when it comes to investing more into public services, the NHS and infrastructure.
Mike Rudkin - Reform UK - says he's feeling “upbeat” and “things are going really well”. He believes it will be a close race but is “quietly confident”.
Meanwhile, Murray Turner, not standing but representing the Liberal Democrats, says they're “very happy” with the exit polls, but not surprised.
They've been working hard and have a clear message, he adds.
Independent Ian Selby says he's stood before. but “this time feels different”.
“We've done well on the district and town council as independents, so we're moving in the right direction,” he says.

Victoria Atkins is in the sports hall, watching on as the counting continues here. She’s looking fairly relaxed and chatting with her team, but clearly keeping a close eye on the piles of ballot papers. She’s held the seat since 2015 and has been Health Secretary in Rishi Sunak’s government since November, so she will be one to watch if she manages to hold on tonight. The feeling in the room is that it’s too close to call at this stage.

Earlier, the deputy leader of the Lincolnshire Conservatives, Cllr Tom Ashton, was downbeat and activists from Reform UK have told the BBC they are feeling confident about their chances.

The incumbent for Hull East, Karl Turner, has delivered a damning assessment of the Conservatives while he waits for the results of his own count.
We didn't know he was a fan of science fiction though. He told the BBC: "We’ve had more prime ministers than Doctor Who's. The Tories have been exterminated."

Conservative Councillor Tom Dyer is still smiling despite predicting another loss for his party
Conservative candidate, Karl McCartney, is in the building at the Lincoln count but hasn't yet appeared in the counting area. He appears to be in a comfort room set aside for candidates and their supporters.
While the counting room is full of supporters of various parties wearing bright rosettes, so far there's been just a handful of Conservatives in the room.
Lincolnshire councillor Tom Dyer, Conservative, is not wearing his. When asked he says "everyone in the room knows I'm a Conservative".
He says he expects the party to lose the Lincoln seat to Labour tonight and for Conservative Karl McCartney to come third behind Reform UK.
"For me and the frustration that I have, particularly as a young person, is that there were a lot of promises in 2019 and the Conservatives just haven't been able to deliver on those promises.
"We could all accept that Covid got in the way but ultimately we haven't been able to deliver.
"And the instability of the members of parliament taking their eyes off the ball has been incredibly unhelpful to me, as a councillor on the ground, and what we're seeing tonight."
