Donning matching blue spacesuits, with sparkly blue sashes and caps, the pair start their dance in what looks like a spaceship. They thunder across the dancefloor, their feet stomping and postures straight as a board.

Wearing a long black and purple ruffle dress along with a grey wig, La Voix has committed to this weeks performance as she takes on the waltz. Smooth, controlled and utterly light on her feet La Voix succeeds in showing everyone her more "serious side".

It's a breath-taking performance, as dance partner Aljaž, says what the audience is thinking at the end of the dance: "Magical."

"The timing was absolutely sensational," says judge Motsi Mabuse. "You are so real and authentic," she adds.

Cynthia pauses, then says La Voix was "vulnerable" and it was "beautiful" to watch her move.

    Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daley

I always find it’s around Movie Week that the stars, judges and presenters really start pushing the boat out with their outfits.

And this year is no disappointment.

Co-host Tess Daly looks totally fantastic tonight, in a pink sequin, long-sleeved dress (Tess, if you’re reading this, please let me know where it’s from?!)

I’m liking fellow co-host Claudia Winkleman’s sleek black number too.

And let’s not forget about the judges.

Judge Motsi’s white sleeveless dress is also a showstopper.

And head judge Shirley Ballas’ red gown, draped over her shoulders, also deserves a mention.

  12. Chris and Nadiya looking to channel Thor's strength after last week's Dance Offpublished at 18:33 BST 11 October

It's one of the greatest rock songs of all time and now it's getting the Strictly Movie Week treatment.

Chris and Nadiya are dancing to the Guns n' Roses classic Sweet Child O’Mine, which also features in the film Thor.

And they'll need all of Thor's strength to get through this week.

After scoring just 16 points and finishing third bottom on the leaderboard with a grand total so far of just 30. The couple ended up facing Tom and Amy in the Dance Off.

    Not bosh.

It's been a good series for these two so far. They go into week three top of the leaderboard with a total of 56 points.

We’ve just gone backstage with Cynthia Erivo, she’s Strictly's first guest mentor.

And in a video, we were treated to a glimpse of what kind of advice she’s been giving to the couples.

She encouraged them to “free themselves up” and to push themselves harder.

“Lots of energy Ellie,” she said to model and actor. Ellie Goldstein looked as starstruck as I would be.

“She’s a true goddess,” she says.

Movie week isn’t Strictly’s only annual tradition.

Every year, there are a series of special shows which fans look forward to.

Others include Halloween Week, and there’s also Musicals Week, where the couples perform routines inspired by hit musicals.

And of course, let’s not forget Blackpool Week, which takes place in the famous Tower Ballroom.

For many Strictly celebs and professionals, getting to Blackpool Week – which usually takes place around halfway through the competition – is a major goal.
