  1. IDF says it also attacked Natanz 'nuclear weapons' sitepublished at 07:25 British Summer Time 19 June

In a separate announcement, Israel's military says its air force attacked a site in Natanz, Iran, last night, which it says is used to develop nuclear weapons.

"The site houses unique components and equipment used to develop nuclear weapons, and projects are being developed there that enable the acceleration of the nuclear weapons programme," Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says.

This isn't the first reported strike on Natanz. Earlier this week, the head of the global nuclear watchdog told the BBC that centrifuges at Iran's underground uranium enrichment plant at Natanz were likely to have been "severely damaged if not destroyed altogether" after Israeli strikes last Friday.

Israel has alleged that Iran has recently "taken steps to weaponise" its enriched uranium stockpile, which can be used for power plants or nuclear bombs.

On Sunday, Iran repeated that its nuclear programme is peaceful and urged the IAEA's 35-nation board to strongly condemn the Israeli strikes.

  2. Israel confirms attack on 'inactive' Arak nuclear reactorpublished at 07:12 British Summer Time 19 June

The Israeli military has confirmed it has carried out an attack on the nuclear reactor in Arak, saying it is "inactive".

The Israel Defense Forces says the reactor is designed to produce high-yield plutonium, which is a material used to make nuclear weapons.

"The strike targeted the component intended for plutonium production, in order to prevent the reactor from being restored and used for nuclear weapons development," they say in a statement.

They also say their latest strikes involved 40 fighter jets targeting dozens of military sites, including factories making raw materials, parts used to assemble ballistic missiles, and locations for building Iranian air defence systems and missiles.

Paramedics in Israel are treating at least 32 people for injuries after Iran’s latest round of strikes, according to Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA).

Two people, a man aged about 80 and a woman aged about 70, are being taken to hospital in a serious condition, while another 30 people have mild injuries, mostly from blasts and shrapnel, MDA says.

In a separate report, MDA paramedic Yossi Shilo says his team saw “extensive destruction” at a building site. A woman aged around 60 was taken to hospital in “serious but stable condition”, he adds.

  4. Iran strike on hospital is 'criminal' - Israeli ministerpublished at 06:53 British Summer Time 19 June

Israel's deputy foreign affairs minister has called Iran's strike that hit Israel's Soroka Hospital "deliberate" and "criminal".

Sharren Haskel, posting on X, says the site that was struck is "not a military base" but "a hospital", adding that this is the main medical centre for Israel’s entire Negev region.

She also shares a video that appears to show damage inside the hospital.

"The world must speak out," Haskel says.

An area near the heavy-water research reactor in Arak, which is part of Iran's nuclear programme, has been struck by Israel, according to local media reports.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Force warned people living in the cities of Arak and Khondab, which are near the reactor, to leave for their safety.

On X, the IDF told residents within a specific zone to leave the area "as soon as possible".

According to the Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA), officials say the facility was evacuated before the attack and there is no risk of radiation.

The hospital has asked people not to come for treatment.

About an hour ago, we had what appears to be the largest Iranian missile barrage in a couple of days, with an Israeli military official saying "dozens" of ballistic missiles were fired.

Soroka Hospital, in the southern city of Beersheba, suffered a hit, with videos on social media showing large plumes of smoke, smashed windows and people screaming as they walked through the corridor.

A spokeswoman says the hospital has suffered "extensive damage". People are now being asked to stay away from the area due to concerns about a "leak of hazardous material".

There are unconfirmed reports of at least three hits elsewhere in the country.

The booms and rumbling noises I heard from Jerusalem as the missiles came in were certainly the loudest in a few days.

The Israeli Defence Forces say they struck over 20 military targets in Tehran yesterday.

Iranian media say Israel has struck an area near the heavy-water research reactor in Khondab, which is part of Iran's nuclear programme.

This follows news that Donald Trump approved plans to attack Iran, but is still deciding whether to go ahead.
