What time do the US markets open?published at 11:28 British Summer Time 7 April

Trading on the US stock market opens at 09:30 US eastern time, which is 14:30 BST.
An early indication as to how things might look can be seen on what is known as the futures market. As things stand, these suggest that if anyone was hoping for an end to the sell-off, they'll be sorely disappointed.
According to the futures market, the S&P 500 index - which, as its name suggests, tracks the share prices of 500 companies - is set to open down about 3.4%. The Nasdaq index - which is dominated by tech firms - is expected to fall by 3.7%.
However, it's worth noting these estimates can be volatile, so we could see quite a change before the markets open officially in a few hours' time.
