  1. Bristol: Red all over?published at 23:29 British Summer Time 4 July

    Pete Simson
    Political reporter, BBC Bristol

With the exit poll showing a huge win for Labour, we'll wait and see how Bristol's now five constituencies have voted.

Amongst them, we could have one of the stories of the night, with the Green Party hoping they can win in Bristol Central. If not, it's likely the City will return five Labour MPs.

Whatever happens, unlike some places, Bristol likes to go at its own pace. Don't expect a final result until much later in the night.

And good evening from the Hutton Moor Leisure centre sports hall...

This huge sports hall often hosts dance shows, dog shows, artisan markets and even a giant inflatable obstacle course that fills half the room, but tonight, it's ballot boxes and volunteer count staff.

So two counts for the price of one! We've got one constituency on each side of the hall, and special passes to get into each.

  3. Estimated declaration times for Bristol and surrounding areaspublished at 22:56 British Summer Time 4 July

If you want to work out what time you might get to bed, or if you want to make sure you don't eat your snacks too quickly, here are some estimated declaration times.

We think results will come in for Bristol's constituencies at around 03:30 BST, with parts of South Gloucestershire to come slightly earlier. For Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset you'll need some stamina.

03:30 BST Bristol Central, Bristol East, Bristol North East, Bristol North West, Bristol South,

  4. Ready to go in Bathpublished at 22:51 British Summer Time 4 July

    Martin Jones
    BBC West of England

Here in Bath they're counting the seat of Bath as well as North East Somerset & Hanham.

    Verification has just started.

Bath has been Lib Dem for most of the last 22 years, and Wera Hobhouse will be hoping to be returned again.

In North East Somerset & Hanham, the Conservative Jacob Rees-Mogg is up against the man who used to be the MP for the same area 14 years ago, Labour's Dan Norris.

    Results expected sometimes after 4am

Good evening from Thornbury Leisure Centre, where two counts are taking place tonight.

Thornbury & Yate and Filton & Bradley Stoke are both held by the Conservatives.

Thornbury & Yate is a big Lib Dem target, while Labour are hoping to grab F&BS. Let the counting begin!

  6. Key issues: How my son's generation was 'sold a lie' over housingpublished at 22:30 British Summer Time 4 July

    Dave Harvey
    Business Correspondent, BBC West

Housing and rental prices are key issues for voters at the general election - and one that several have got in contact with us about.

Bristol, for example, is the most expensive place to rent outside of London and the problem is leading to more people having to find alternative accommodation.

Sharon Cove is among the many people who got in touch with the BBC via Your Voice, Your Vote and told us about her son's situation.

“I just feel so sorry for the young people that don’t have it as good as I did," she said.

Our Business and environment correspondent, Dave Harvey, has more here.

  8. What chance of a shock in Bristol Central?published at 22:11 British Summer Time 4 July

    Pete Simson
    Political reporter, BBC Bristol

It's a priority target for the Green Party, who won big here during local elections earlier this year.

However overcoming the Labour Party, which has dominated parliamentary elections in the city in recent times, is a tough challenge.

Bristol has a reputation for political rebellion, what chance is there of a new West Country shock this time around?
