His majority dropped to about 900, but he's confident he can bring people back on-side.

"When I was elected in 2005, I started off with 947, I then built that majority up to nearly 19,000. It'll be a challenge, but I'm up for it, and I'll do it again, I'm pretty sure."

"I will stand up for the people of the Wrekin and hold the Labour government to account when they get it wrong. If they get it right, I'll say it, but if they get it wrong, I'll call it out."

"I promise that I will serve with hard work, determination and a single-minded focus on what is best for Shrewsbury and the villages."

"In short, I will get on with the job you have sent me to Westminster to do."

    Nick Southall
    Journalist, BBC Shropshire

Alan Adams, who stood for Reform UK in Telford, says he'll be running in 2029 if Reform want him to.

"We didn't even have time to come up with a plan for what we were going to do," he said.

"If this is what we can do in eight weeks, can you imagine what we can do if we have a year?"

He added that it had been a steep learning curve: "I'm still working full-time, I've got two kids, so yeah, it's been an interesting journey. It was my partner's birthday last week so I'd normally go away. There was no chance, so I was going to take her away soon to make up for it."

Reform came second in Telford behind Labour, pushing the Conservatives into third place.
