Mark Pritchard has been speaking to BBC Radio Shropshire, following his victory in the Wrekin.
"I knew it would be close. This has been a long and tough campaign, and I've worked hard for every vote," he said.
His majority dropped to about 900, but he's confident he can bring people back on-side.
"When I was elected in 2005, I started off with 947, I then built that majority up to nearly 19,000. It'll be a challenge, but I'm up for it, and I'll do it again, I'm pretty sure."
"I will stand up for the people of the Wrekin and hold the Labour government to account when they get it wrong. If they get it right, I'll say it, but if they get it wrong, I'll call it out."
Labour's Julia Buckley has made her victory speech, after winning in Shrewsbury.
"It's been nearly two decades since a Labour MP represented the town, and it's long overdue," she said.
She paid tribute Daniel Kawczynski, who was Shrewsbury's MP for 19 years.
"I promise that I will serve with hard work, determination and a single-minded focus on what is best for Shrewsbury and the villages."
"In short, I will get on with the job you have sent me to Westminster to do."
Mark Pritchard retained his seat with 16,320 votes, ahead of Labour's Roh Yakobi, just a few hundred votes behind him on 15,437.Reform UK's Richard Leppington came third on 9,920
Conservative Mark Pritchard has held his seat in The Wrekin, but with a wafer-thin majority.

There is going to be another recount for the Wrekin - this time a box.
Earlier, there was a bundle recount for the constituency.
We're told a discrepancy was found in the bundle, so more checks are underway.

Liberal Democrat candidate, Matthew Green, who was the Ludlow MP from 2001-2005, says the vote in South Shropshire will be close, but probably won by the Conservatives. “I think Stuart Anderson has pipped us by 2%,” he said.

Alan Adams, who stood for Reform UK in Telford, says he'll be running in 2029 if Reform want him to.
"We didn't even have time to come up with a plan for what we were going to do," he said.
"If this is what we can do in eight weeks, can you imagine what we can do if we have a year?"
He added that it had been a steep learning curve: "I'm still working full-time, I've got two kids, so yeah, it's been an interesting journey. It was my partner's birthday last week so I'd normally go away. There was no chance, so I was going to take her away soon to make up for it."
Reform came second in Telford behind Labour, pushing the Conservatives into third place.

It was a tense couple of minutes at the Wrekin count, as Labour supporters gathered around to hear provisional results.
There will now be a bundle recount - not all ballots will be recounted, just a few of them.
It's been suggested the margin could be as little as 3%.

Bit of a lull here after the excitement of the Telford count.
No news of when Wrekin might be declared yet. The official estimate was between 03:00 BST and 03:45, but it doesn’t look like it is coming soon.

Julia Buckley looks set to take a second seat from the Conservatives in Shropshire tonight.
She arrived with her husband looking very happy. And no wonder, her votes are stacking up in baskets.
I’m “hopeful and humbled,” she said.
Also at the counts in Shrewsbury, the South Shropshire turnout has been announced - 68%, again down on last time when 72.3% voted.

Shaun Davies says he will stand down as the leader of Telford and Wrekin council, now that he's MP.
"I've asked the council and the Labour group to put arrangements in place now, to elect a new council leader at their next meeting later on this month," he told BBC Radio Shropshire.
Davies took 45% of the vote, taking Telford from the Conservatives.
On a personal level, he says the win means the world.
"I lived with my nan for most of my life. She persuaded me to put my name forward just before she died, and I'll be thinking of her when I sit down on those green benches for the first time."
The north Wales seat of Wrexham has returned to Labour, a gain from the Conservatives.
Andrew Ranger took just shy of 40% of the vote.

We've got more turnout data from the Shropshire counts:
In Shrewsbury, 68% or 51,763 people voted. That's down on 71.8% last time
And North Shropshire saw 64% take part in the election, or 49,714 people. That's well up on the by-election in 2021 which saw Lib Dem Helen Morgan (pictured) elected, but down from 67.9% in 2019.
We're not expecting declarations in these seats before 04:00 BST.

Labour's Shaun Davies makes his victory speech.
It's fair to say he's delighted.
“If this boy from Dawley can become a Member of Parliament for Telford, then the sky's the limit for every Telford young person here in our borough.”
"For the past eight years, as leader of the council, my team and I have served Telford, and this duty of service remains in my blood as I start my new job as the Member of Parliament for Telford."
He also thanked his wife and children for their "understanding, unconditional love, and for understanding when I simply could not be there when I should've been."
"The work starts now," he added.
