Owen Cooper, 15, becomes the youngest-ever male Emmy winner, for his breakout role in Netflix mini-series Adolescence

The Pitt also beat mega-hits like Severance and The White Lotus to scoop up the award for best drama - but Severance didn't walk away empty handed, picking up two major awards
Unusually, the ceremony ran broadly on time as host Nate Bargatze said a $100,000 charity donation would decrease for every speech longer than 45 seconds

Now host Nate Bargatze is addressing the audience directly.
He says to begin, he's donating $100,000 to the boys and girls club of America. If anyone speech goes longer than 45 seconds, he will deduct $1000 away from the total amount being donated.
"I know, it's brutal," he said. "This is a game I've made up and these are rules."
He says if anyone goes under the 45 second time limit, he'll add more money to the total. Since the first winner Seth Rogen, went under that total, money was added.

Host Nate Bargatze is opening the show by spoofing his viral George Washington skit from Saturday Night Live, where he plays the first US president explaining incomprehensible American concepts.
In this skit, he plays a scientist introducing the concepts of television and the Emmys to the audience. He's poking fun at Severance, Hacks and even the network CBS itself.
He's joined by SNL cast members Bowen Yang and Mikey Day.

Hosting the Emmy Awards for the first time tonight is comedian Nate Bargatze. The 46-year-old comedian, known for his dead-pan, monotone delivery, is one of the most popular stand-ups in the US.
He has got hour-long comedy specials on Netflix and Comedy Central, and has hosted Saturday Night Live twice. In his most viral sketch, he played George Washington making fun of the American system of measurements.
In 2021, the Atlantic dubbed him the “nicest man in standup” for his “slow, inoffensive, even soothing” humor. He follows father-son pairing Dan and Eugene Levy, who hosted the awards last year.
