    If you go to Stanbury Village School in Bradford, good news - you've got the day off! The school is closed today.

    Not so much joy for pupils at other schools across the Bradford district, however. The rest are open, albeit 13 other local schools are opening slightly later to give students and staff extra time to navigate the icy conditions.

    The A628, which connects Barnsley with Manchester, was closed last night between the A616 (Hollingworth) and the A57 (Flouch) because of the snow, according to the National Highways Agency, and remains shut this morning.
