    "Thank you, Chelmsford, you have been beautiful," Suede frontman Brett Anderson declares at the end of their set.

    The band walks off the stage and it is all over.

    What an awesome performance.

  3. 'How's your singing?'published at 16:04 British Summer Time

    "The problem I've got is that I've been standing in front of a guitar amp for 35 years and I can't hear what you're saying," Suede frontman Brett Anderson screams at the crowd.

    "We're going to try some singing now, how's your singing?

    "There's only one word, it's a small word... I want you to sing it back to me."

    He then goes to sing a lot of "la, la, las", which the crowd sing back at the start of Beautiful Ones.

    Paul Gisbourne, 52, has come from Devizes, Wiltshire.

    "We love the Radio 2 festivals - we are hardcore fans," he says. "Today, we want to see Soul II Soul and Olly Murs."

    He also says there are "amazing" scotch eggs being served at the festival.

    We're now feeling rather peckish.

  5. Time to slow downpublished at 15:59 British Summer Time

    "Lovely Radio 2 people. Lovely Essex people. We're going to take it down with a nice song," Brett Anderson tells the crowd.

    He says the song is all about "being nice".

    That song is none other than Saturday Night, released in 1996.

  6. She Still Leads Me On enjoyed by the thousandspublished at 15:52 British Summer Time

    The crowd calmed down a little during Suede's newly released song, Trance State, but things are popping off again with She Still Leads Me On.

    The band ask the crowd to clap along and they happily oblige.

    We definitely need more of these legendary bands coming to Essex for gigs in the future!

    Partners Effy Colbourne, 39, and Boycee Colbourne, 66, have travelled three and a half hours from Bristol to be here today.

    Good effort, team - we are happy to have you here!

    They are most looking forward to Def Leppard but Effy says “all the others have been a real bonus”.

    Animal Nitrate proves to be a huge hit with Suede's crowd.

    You can hear them singing along with the band as frontman Brett Anderson whips the microphone cable around.

    The energy is immense!

    BBC Essex's very own Josh Holmes-Bright interviewed whispering Bob Harris OBE and “after the interview he asked me to add my number to his phone and I duly obliged”.

    Future collab with Bob coming in the future then, Josh?

    Suede is next on the main stage at 15:30 BST.

    The band formed in 1992 and skyrocketed into fame after their debut album, Suede, topped the UK Albums Chart and won the Mercury Music Prize.

    "We have have great memories of headlining in Hylands Park [at V Festival] way back in 1999 , so are really looking forward to returning," they said prior to Radio 2 in the Park.

    She has travelled here from Guernsey in the Channel Islands with her sister, Kate Moody.

    Jo says: "We are here for four days enjoying the sights and sounds of Essex... our favourite act so far has been Kid Creole & The Coconuts... what a show they put on!"

    Kate adds: "We love Radio 2 in the Park because it's so friendly and well organised. It's a chance to relive our misspent youth!"

    While it did not bother Louise, many of us were given a small scare when a national test emergency alert went off on mobile phones at 15:00 BST.

    It did not last long before we could focus back on the singer, fortunately.

    Yesterday, we met maybe Essex's biggest Stereophonics fan, but today we present possibly the country's most devout Def Leppard follower.

    Justin has travelled from Leicester to Hylands Park to watch the band.

    "I probably have over 1,500 to 1,600 Def Leppard items," he explains.

    "It was a heck of a job to work out which T-shirt to wear as I have over 110 of them."

    Together Again completes Louise's set on the main stage and she thanks the crowd once more.

    Personally, we loved her dance moves throughout and the fact she could not stop smiling - it clearly means a lot to her being on stage.

  19. Let's Go Round Again gets the crowd dancingpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time

    Let's Go Round Again is the penultimate song of Louise's setlist and everyone is dancing.

    Ahead of her final song she thanks the Chelmsford crowd for their support and they cheer back.

    The hits from 1993 keep on coming with Just A Step From Heaven up next from Louise.

    "Those songs are about 32 years old," she says afterwards. "How time flies."

    Now she is performing her cover of Stuck in the Middle With You.
