    Attwood 'sympathy' for DUP rival

    The SDLP's Alex Attwood says he "delighted" about his assembly election win in west Belfast.

    But speaking to Radio Ulster's Seamus McKee, Mr Attwood admitted he felt for his DUP rival, Frank McCoubrey. 

    "He had been so close all day and at the last instant, victory was denied to him."

    Farry takes final seat

    Alliance's Stephen Farry has been elected in North Down. 

    He made the final six following the exclusion of his running mate Andrew Muir.
