"Jeremy Paxman definitely still has it." Cue laughter from the audience.

On the other Jeremy, she says "he's simply not prepared to govern".

"He's simply not prepared to take a single difficult decision for the good of our country."

He's also not prepared for the Brexit negotiations, the PM says, adding gravely: "But I am."

  5. Davidson: SNP 'ploughing on' with independence pushpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 30 May 2017

    Ruth DavidsonImage source, AFP/Getty Images

Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson has reacted to the SNP manifesto, which she says confirms it will "plough ahead" with a second independence referendum. She also says Jeremy Corbyn has "sold the jersey" on independence after he refused to say earlier this morning that he'd block a second vote.

Speaking in East Lothian, she also said the SNP "has made Scotland the highest taxed part of the UK" which is why Scotland's "economy is contracting", being "a quarter away from recession".

Our assistant political editor Norman Smith noted earlier that, actually, the SNP manifesto plays down independence as an issue, making it pledge 10 of 10, and only mentioning it relatively briefly at the launch.

  10. Corbyn provides childcare costpublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 30 May 2017

Jeremy Corbyn is asked about his childcare policy by Mumsnet users and this time, has the numbers.

He tells them extending 30 hours of free provision to all two to four-year-olds "will cost £5.3 billion a year by the end of the next parliament".

That was the number his education spokeswoman knew this morning, but he didn't while on Woman's Hour.

He adds: "If we give all our children a decent, fair start they achieve far more later in life. Early years are so crucial to the development of all our children and it should not be based on a postcode lottery or the relative wealth of the parents."

From one light-hearted interview to another and Theresa May has been talking dancing and shopping - yes, really - with Metro newspaper.

She revealed Abba "gets me up and going", but asked if she'd consider following Ed Balls down the Strictly Come Dancing route, the PM replied: "I'm certainly not intending to do one."

Mrs May said she had no time for a night out with friends, but: "If I've got a genuine bit of time I might try and do a bit of shopping, grab a coffee. Where do I go? Ah, that would be telling.

"The other thing would be to just have an opportunity to sit down with my husband and do some cooking, and get one of my over 100 recipe books out."

  13. U-turn on sugar? Corbyn Q&A begins with biscuitspublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 30 May 2017

As predicted, biscuits first on Mumsnet. Last time he appeared on the website, Jeremy Corbyn said he was anti-sugar and now he's asked why that is.

"I do consume some sugar, we all do, my whole point was and is that too much sugar is placed in soft drinks, fast food and in particular, in children's dishes," he replies. "Sugar can be bad and lead to diabetes and other conditions. Hence we need strong regulation of soft drinks and food additives."

Mr Corbyn, when pushed, said before he was partial to the odd shortbread, and now says he has been given "many gifts of packets of shortbread".

"And I've yet to discover a low-sugar or no-sugar packet. I suspect it doesn't exist!"

  18. When does SNP want a second independence vote?published at 12:06 British Summer Time 30 May 2017

Nicola Sturgeon takes questions from the media and is pressed on when exactly she wants a second independence vote.

"We cannot find ourselves in the position where we have no alternative but to accept a damaging Brexit that is wreaking havoc on our economy and on our public services," she argues.

The SNP leader wants an independence referendum "when people have clarity on Brexit and what that means".

She says that is likely to be 2018-19, according to Theresa May, but "if that changes... we will then have to reconsider our timing".

When another questioner asks if a loss of SNP seats at Westminster would mean a loss of authority for another referendum, Ms Sturgeon acts quickly to quieten hecklers, saying that journalists have an important job holding politicians to account.

  19. Catching up: Corbyn on childcarepublished at 12:03 British Summer Time 30 May 2017

    A quick run-down:

    • Labour's big policy of the day is its pledge on increasing free childcare provision, but unfortunately for him, Jeremy Corbyn was unable to say how much it would cost during an interview on Woman's Hour a short time ago.
    • He said first it would cost "a lot", then appeared to be trying to look it up on his iPad and then asked if he could "come back to" the question.
    • He asked presenter Emma Barnett for her suggestion on the figures, eventually agreeing her proposition sounded about right.
    • You can listen back to the whole thing here.
    • Our political editor said it was "astonishing" that Mr Corbyn appeared not to have his figures straight, while our assistant political editor said it played into the narratives of those who argue that Labour can't be trusted with the national purse
