There were hugs of relief among Conservatives following Anthony Browne's victory in South Cambridgeshire.
He says the election campaign has been a "humbling experience".

South Cambridgeshire has a new Conservative MP in Anthony Browne.
Heidi Allen was previously elected in 2017 while she was a member of the Conservative Party. She subsequently became an independent MP before joining the Lib Dems.
The Conservative candidate Jonathan Djanogly retains his seat.
The North West Cambridgeshire count has been delayed slightly due to a recount of the Yaxley ward.

Paul Bristow has said he'll start working on "cleaning up the city" just as soon as he checks his partner is not in labour.
The new Peterborough Conservative MP's second child is due today.
Paul Bristow has been elected as the MP for Peterborough, beating Labour's Lisa Forbes by 2,580 votes.
Mr Bristow's Conservative Party overturned a 607 vote majority to take the formerly Labour-held seat.
Labour won the seat in 2017 from the Conservatives, but MP Fiona Onasanya was removed following a recall petition after her conviction for lying about a speeding offence. Lisa Forbes held the seat for Labour in a subsequent by-election in June this year, but has now lost it.
Beki Sellick of the Liberal Democrats came third and the Brexit Party's Mike Greene came fourth.
Nearly 48,000 people, roughly two-thirds of those eligible to vote, went to polling stations across the area on Thursday, in the first December general election since 1923.
Six of the eight candidates lost their £500 deposits after failing to win 5% of the vote.

The police have had to remove a man from the Peterborough count after an argument started during Paul Bristow's acceptance speech.
The Conservatives have taken Peterborough from Labour.
Paul Bristow will replace Labour's Lisa Forbes who only became an MP in June.
Dan Greef, the Labour candidate for South Cambridgeshire, says it’s “not looking great” for his party in the city and denies his campaign split the Remain vote.

It is thought the Conservatives will take the seat from Labour.
There was a turnout of 70.2% in Huntingdon, down very slightly from 70.9% in 2017.

There's been a huge increase in voter turnout since Peterborough's by-election in June.
The turnout was 66% up from 48.4% in June but slightly down from 67.5% in 2017.
There has been a very marginal increase in voter turnout in South Cambridgeshire, up to 77% from 76.2%.
Total vote cast - 67,236.
