BBC News correspondent Phil Mackie said there were about 30 or 40 people on the picket line at Warwick Hospital.
He said the hospital said it had brought in consultants to cover the gaps on the rota.
Despite that the hospital had to cancel 22 clinics and 29 elective operations today and tomorrow, which he said would affect hundreds of people.
But he said there appeared to be a “great deal of support” for doctors with many people beeping their horns.

Junior doctors' strike: Cancellations across Norfolkpublished at 09:45
A nine-hour strike by junior doctors started earlier leading to more than 1,600 hospital appointments being cancelled across the county.
- The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, external has cancelled more than 900 outpatients appointments and more than 60 elective operations
- In east Norfolk, more than 215 outpatients appointments have been cancelled at the James Paget Hospital, external. No elective operations had been planned, but 10 theatre sessions have been cancelled
- No elective operations were planned at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn, external, but more than 300 outpatients appointments have been cancelled

Here's what we know, so far, about today's nine-hour walkout by junior doctors in Cumbria:
- More consultants and other staff are being brought in to cover the strike by NHS Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Group, external. It decides how healthcare is provided in Cumbria.
- 83 outpatient appointments have been cancelled at hospitals in Carlisle and Whitehaven by the North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust, external
- 406 operations and 345 outpatient appointments, external have been cancelled across the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust which runs hospitals in Kendal, Barrow, Lancaster and Morecambe.
- No appointments were scheduled to take place during in walkout by the Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust which runs community hospitals and mental health services.

Heidi Alexander: Hunt's handling of dispute has been 'shambolic'published at 09:52 British Summer Time 26 April 2016
Shadow Health Secretary Heidi Alexander has said today is "one of the saddest days in the history of the NHS" as junior doctors take strike action over changes to their contract.
The Labour frontbencher said Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt's handling of the dispute had been "utterly shambolic".
Ms Alexander said there was "absolutely no evidence" that changing the junior doctors' contract would "ensure completely consistent, high-quality care across seven days".
She said Jeremy Hunt had chosen to "reject" Labour's suggestion to compromise by piloting the junior doctors' contract and carry out an independent evaluation of its impact.
