    Those hoping to travel between the two stations in either direction have been advised to think again.

    Great Western Railway said all lines between the two stations are blocked. Trains are subject to severe delays and cancellations.

    Customers have been told their tickets will be valid on Monday.

    A British Airways flight from New York to London has broken the record for fastest subsonic flight across the Atlantic - attributed in part to strong winds.. and exceptional piloting skills!

    The journey took just four hours and 56 minutes - more than an hour faster than normal.

    The record is 17 minutes faster than the last one set in 2018.

    BA said its pilots had made the most of the conditions.

    Some good news - the missing surfer who lost his board off the East Sussex coast has been found alive near Rye Bay. He was conscious when found.

    Wisbech Town FC has been feeling the force of Storm Ciara.

    The Cambridgeshire club's secretary says it survived "stronger winds than this" but blames the wind direction for the damage caused.

    Spencer Larham said: "I've spoken to our chairman Paul Brenchley and he says we're looking at £20,000 minimum to remove and replace that stand."

    Crane collapses

    Residents had to be evacuated after this huge crane collapsed through the roof of an unoccupied block of flats on a building site.

    The London Fire Brigade evacuated 30 people from nearby flats in Stanmore, Harrow. No injuries were reported.

    The crane is being checked for damage before it can be removed.

    Traffic is closed both ways for pedestrians and drivers on Merrian Avenue.
