    The session here in the Wilson Room at Portcullis House will see Dyan Crowther, Govia's chief operating officer, questioned by a panel of MPs.

    Also appearing will be Mick Cash, general secretary of the RMT Union, with which Govia are in dispute over the role of conductors.

    Today's hearing has been called because of the number of complaints from Southern passengers.

    Southern tell me the timetable to cut 341 daily services will come in force next Monday - 11 July.  

    A spokesman said it will be in force initially for a four-week period.

    They aim to return services back to normal "as soon as possible."

    Southern Rail has confirmed to the BBC there will be 341 fewer daily services from next Monday for a four-week period after which the timetable would be reviewed.
