    A man allegedly pretended to work for the NHS to spend six nights taking advantage of free hotel rooms being offered to health workers.

    The 30-year-old has been charged with fraud after checking in to the four-star Casa Hotel in Chesterfield at the end of March and allegedly claiming he worked in the A&E department of the local hospital, police said.

    He appeared before magistrates on Thursday and was put on bail.

    Potential visitors to Devon and Cornwall have been urged to stay at home this Easter.

    The counties are typically popular destinations for holidaymakers on a bank holiday weekend.

    Devon County Council told people to "stay away", with Teignbridge District Council adding Devon was "closed this Easter".

    Cornwall Council is using the hashtag #ComeBackLater on social media to deter visitors.

    The UK government continues to advise people to stay home and only go out if they need to fetch food or medicine, to go to work if it's essential or to exercise.

    Even when you leave your home, you need to practise social distancing and keep at least two metres away from other people to protect yourself from catching coronavirus.

    But it can be hard to know exactly what that looks like.

    Camp Bestival is holding a virtual mini-festival to keep families entertained over Easter.

    The family-friendly festival is still due to take place in Dorset at the end of July but is also laying on two days of online entertainment this weekend.

    The Stay At Home Sleepover features Level 42, Kate Winslet, Dick and Dom, Mr Motivator and Sara Cox among others.

    The event will be streamed on social media and viewers are urged to join in with pictures of their fancy dress.

    Barbecues and parties were held across Crawley on Thursday night by people ignoring advice to stay at home, Sussex Police said.

    The force said officers attended "numerous" reports of people gathering in the West Sussex town.

    "Lives are at risk because of a selfish few who ignore advice to social- distance and stay at home," a spokesman said.

    "This isn't a holiday. People are dying. We will take action against those who flout the law."

    Workers from high street retailer Wilko are angry the firm has not promised a reward for staff working through the coronavirus crisis.

    Staff have called for greater benefits in line with other supermarkets after the Worksop-based chain offered them just cut-price Easter eggs.

    Some workers told BBC News the gesture was "a kick in the teeth".

    Wilko say the egg offer was part of a charitable scheme and they were considering other "thank yous".

    Prime Minister Boris Johnson's father says he is "tremendously grateful", as he begins his recovery from coronavirus.

    Stanley Johnson was speaking after his son was moved from intensive care at London's St Thomas' Hospital where he had been for four days.

    Meanwhile scientific Prof Neil Ferguson has told the BBC that the UK's coming out of lockdown will likely "be targeted by age, by geography".

    The country has been under the measures since 23 March.
