    We're drawing our live coverage of today's flash flooding across the Midlands to a close.

    But we'll be keeping a close eye on river levels and report on any disruption caused as they burst their banks.

  2. Road closures in Worcestershirepublished at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February

    There were a number of road closures at lunchtime, Worcestershire County Council, external said.

    Relating to the River Avon, the authority listed Waterside in Evesham, Jubilee Bridge in Fladbury, Brook Lane in Cropthorne, Besford Bridge and Eckington Bridge.

    In terms of the River Teme, the A443 Lindridge, B4197 Knightwick and Bransford Court Lane were closed.

    And the city council in Worcester has warned motorists, external to get their cars out of the closed Pitchcroft car park as water is "rising rapidly".

    The Saxon Mill pub on Coventry Road in Warwick, which is next to the River Avon, has seen water levels rise up to flood parts of its outside dining area.

  4. Shrewsbury barriers going uppublished at 13:38 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February

    Chris Bainger of the Environment Agency told BBC Radio Shropshire that barriers in the Frankwell area of Shrewsbury were being erected as a "precautionary measure".

    He described local rivers as "extremely reactive" because the ground was already so wet from previous rainfall.

    Mr Bainger encouraged people to take account of flood warnings and not take risks around water.

  5. More Herefordshire roads closedpublished at 13:24 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February

    More roads in Herefordshire have been closed as an emergency measure due to flooding.

    Littlemarsh Common Road in Clehonger, Lower Bullingham Lane in Hereford, the A4110 in Leintwardine and Newtown Lane at Ivington in the Leominster area were shut earlier.

    Any diversions will be signposted locally, Hereford Highways, external said.

    Pitchcroft car park in Worcester has been closed as a precaution because of rising flood water, according to the city council.

    Bosses are urging people to use St Martin's Gate multi-storey or one of their other car parks, external instead.

  7. Police issue advice to driverspublished at 12:53 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February

    Warwickshire Police have asked drivers to slow down and ensure there is plenty of space between them and the vehicle in front.

    A spokesperson said: "There is a lot of surface water and flooding across the county today," adding: "This [advice] will give you more time to observe road conditions and react appropriately."

    The Environment Agency (EA) has shared a map highlighting all of the places where it currently has active flood warnings and flood alerts today.

    They have advised people to stay up to date, external on their website as the situation may change throughout the day.

    I have parked up in Briar Mill, the road outside Droitwich Leisure Centre in Worcestershire.

    To my left-hand side there is a huge police cordon and the road has turned into a lake.

    In the middle of the water is an abandoned silver BMW, which is partly submerged in the water.

    Water is coming up towards the sports centre, which is still open.

    Droitwich high school, which is behind the centre, is closed to pupils in Year 8 and 9.

    The rain has been lashing down and the road closed in both directions.

    The clerk of Warwick Racecourse, Tom Ryall, has been showing us why tomorrow's meeting was abandoned.

    He told me: "The home straight is currently under water, and we've unfortunately had to abandon our Kingmaker Chase day tomorrow.

    "We had 36mm (1.5 inches) of rain overnight... so there's not enough time for the rain to drain through the soil."

    Tomorrow's meeting at Uttoxeter in Staffordshire has also been called off.

    This photo of allotments in Kenilworth under water has been sent in by BBC Weather Watcher Red Robin.

    Kenilworth Allotment Tenants’ Association chairman Pete Hayes said: "For the third time this year, our allotments have been submerged with almost record-breaking water levels.

    "We accept there’s nothing we can do about it, and thankfully at this time of year the allotments are relatively quiet."

    He said it was concerning that the frequency of flooding seemed to be increasing.

    Association secretary Lily Brownjohn said the allotment group were optimistic people, however.

    "We're grateful it’s not our homes," she said.

    "It’s only allotment land – we lose a few bits and pieces here and there, but that’s about it."

    Some emergency road closures have been announced in Herefordshire.

    Linton Lane in Bromyard will be affected for eight days due to a collapse of a bank, according to Hereford Highways, external.

    The road to Marden at Wellington (C1122) is also shut, along with Bromyard Road in Ledbury.

    Any diversions will be signposted locally.

    Many of this morning's problems have been caused by flash flooding, rather than rising river levels.But all of that water is heading into the region's rivers, and the Environment Agency (EA) is warning of issues as it comes downstream.

    Worcestershire County Council has released a photo of the collapsed wall at the junction of Reservoir Lane with Rainbow Hill, Worcester.

    The wall fell due to a landslide, external, and as a result nearby roads have been closed.

    National Trust property Charlecote Park, near Warwick, will be completely closed, external on Friday due to extensive flooding.

    A spokesperson said: "River levels are high with large swathes of the parkland are waterlogged or still underwater.

    "Please continue to check the website and social media before you travel for any further updates."

    It is the second time the property has been affected flooding in the space of a month, after burst river banks in January saw it suffer the worst flooding in a decade.
