  1. Travel: Traffic on the M25, A1M and M40published at 09:00

    One lane remains closed on the M25 anti-clockwise between J24 and J23 with queues of 14 miles after a crane broke down. Travel time is about 50 minutes.

    One lane is blocked on the A1M southbound between J9 and J8 due to a broken down car.

    Traffic is queueing on the M40 southbound in Buckinghamshire at J4 due to an earlier accident.

    Residents on a Bedford street are demanding action after the council granted a sixth alcohol licence for one of the shops.

    Locals say Midland Road is plagued by street drinking, drug taking and crime.

    "You've got four CCTV cameras around here, does that deter it? No it doesn't. What would deter it is to stop issuing alcohol licenses," said Ajmal Khan, who has lived in the area for 27 years.
