  10. 'Concern' and 'satisfaction' that Trump has wonpublished at 12:46 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2016

    Justin Dealey
    BBC Three Counties Radio

I've been out in Luton getting some response to the news that Donald Trump has won the US presidential election.

I happened to come across a group of Americans who're here in the town for a business meeting.

There was a real mixed reaction. One woman who voted for Hillary Clinton told me she doesn't trust Trump to run the country and she's concerned as the Republicans also have control of the House and the Senate.

Don was satisfied with the result as he voted for Trump, as he believes in his policies on immigration and thinks he will shake up Washington and the Washington "elite".

Karl is from California and he decided not to vote as he was "disappointed" with the two candidates, but thinks it will be an "interesting four years" and a "change", adding that Trump is not your "textbook politician".

    BBC Look East

Ben Whitlock was trying to get to London for work from Bedford Railway Station this morning and said the delays are "frustrating", but are "par of the course" and things like this "happen all the time".

He told me the information he got online is different to the information at the station and it's "just normal stuff".

    Ben Whitlock

Network Rail has apologised for the problems and says engineers are trying to fix the problem, but because of the "complicated equipment" the disruption could last for the rest of the day.

  15. 'Frustration' at Bedford station after train delayspublished at 11:38 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2016

    Kate Bradbrook
    BBC Look East

I've been talking to passengers at Bedford railway station who're "frustrated" with the delays into London because of signalling problems in Luton.

Michelle Miskelly (below) hoped to get the 08:24 into London this morning, but when she got to the station that train didn't exist, so she got the 08:20 instead.

That train broke down in Flitwick, so she cut her losses and got on the next train.

At this point she decided she wouldn't be able to get home later, so she came back to Bedford.

This meant she travelled for two hours to then come back to her starting point.

Disruption on the lines is expected until the end of the day.
