    Tesco has confirmed it's axing 1,200 jobs at its offices in Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, and in Bangalore, India.

    The supermarket giant would not confirm how many jobs are being cut in Hertfordshire, but staff were told this morning that 25% of employees in Welwyn and Hatfield will go.

    Tesco is in the midst of a turnaround plan under chief executive Dave Lewis.

    It follows on from last week's announcement of 1,100 job losses at Tesco's call centre in Cardiff.

    The 28-year-old has made 86 appearances since joining the Hornets permanently in 2014.

    Police in High Wycombe are appealing for witnesses after collisions in Hammersley Lane yesterday afternoon.

    Just after 13:00, a black Mercedes crashed with a green Rover, and then continued down the road and hit three parked cars.

    The driver, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

    This evening and tonight will continue generally wet and cloudy with further outbreaks of rain, some heavy and thundery. Temperatures will hover around 13C (55F).

    Tomorrow will see a wet start but this will gradually clearing northwards with brighter spells.

    Showers though will develop from the south later, some heavy and thundery. The top temperature will be around 19C (66F).

    Plans to develop land next to Luton Airport Parkway Station are being made public today.

    The site, formerly known as Stirling Place, is being re-named Bartlett Square.

    The plans include a new hotel, offices and a multi storey car park.

    The area will also have a stop for the proposed automated transit system, external, which will run to Luton airport.

    People are being invited to Venue 360 on Gipsy Lane between 17:00 and 21:00 to share their thoughts on the proposed development, before a planning application is submitted.
