    The total number of laboratory confirmed cases in the UK currently stands at 157,149, including tests carried out by commercial partners, when the figures were released by the government on Mon, externalday afternoon.

    The daily total number of lab-confirmed UK cases is 4,310.

    In the East, 11,760 people have tested positive to coronavirus.

    Covid-19 deaths statistics, cumulative for Monday, 27 April, 2020

    The latest figures to show the number of people who have died in the previous day from Covid-19 were released by the government, external on Monday afternoon.

    The daily increase of 41 deaths in hospitals in the East of England is the lowest rise since we started collating them at the beginning of April.

    The total number of deaths at the region's hospitals is now 2,450.

    • Anglian Community, Fryatt Hospital, Harwich:1
    • Basildon and Thurrock: 5
    • East and North Hertfordshire: 1
    • Colchester and Ipswich: 9
    • James Paget, Gorleston: 3
    • Mid Essex, Chelmsford, Maldon and Braintree: 2
    • Milton Keynes: 1
    • Norfolk and Norwich: 2
    • North West Anglia, Peterborough and Hinchingbrooke: 5
    • Northampton General: 7
    • West Hertfordshire Hospitals: 4
    • West Suffolk: 1

    Across the UK, the total number of Covid-19-associated deaths in hospitals currently stands at 21,092.
