Brian Davis has never spoken about the night his younger sister Jane died in the Birmingham pub bombings 41 years ago.

He says he welcomes calls for a more prominent memorial to those who died. It’s being discussed by victims’ families and the Irish community as part of a University of Birmingham project, and it seems like there’s a real desire to do more to remember the city’s darkest day. It could be many years before it actually happens, though.
