    Aston Villa, external chief executive Tom Fox has asked fans to "keep the faith" and insists the club will be stronger for the overhaul it has had over the last six months.

    Fox told BBC WM: "I'm very confident looking behind the scenes that we're building for the long term. 

    "We'll be... more success for Villa back in the league where it needs to be and competing year in and year out and I know that's difficult for people to understand right now."

    A third person is charged with murder after the body of a 24-year-old man was found in a flat in the Black Country.

    Indiga Daniel Wallace, known as Danny, was found in the flat on 11 November.

  4. Three men sought after couple robbed in parkpublished at 09:52

    Police are searching for three men, who they want to speak to in connection with the robbery of a young couple in a Sutton Coldfield park last month.

    The couple were threatened on the path that runs towards Town Gate.

    A 21-year-old man was robbed of his mobile phone and wallet while the 19-year-old woman was forced to hand over her bag and purse. 

    Anyone with any information should contact Sutton Coldfield police station.

  5. Police hunt missing boypublished at 09:32

    An 11-year-old boy has gone missing in Birmingham.

    Romari Reid was last seen at about 16:20 yesterday near the clock in the Jewellery Quarter.

    He is described as being black, 5ft tall with short black hair, brown eyes and was wearing a school uniform, said West Midlands Police., external

    Anyone who knows where he is should call Birmingham Police on 101 or the Missing People charity on 116 000.

  6. 'Daily mile' idea for Wolverhampton pupilspublished at 09:10

    A plan to make all schoolchildren in Wolverhampton walk or run a mile every day was discussed by the city council last night.

    Councillor Paul Singh wants every school to introduce the daily exercise routine in a bid to tackle rising levels of obesity in the city.

    Mr Singh's proposal, external was referred to a specially convened joint meeting of the health and the children, young people and families scrutiny panels.  

  7. Amputee soldier to walk down aislepublished at 08:55

    A former soldier who lost both legs and an arm in Afghanistan has paid £90,000 for an operation in Australia so he can walk down the aisle at his wedding on New Year's Eve.

    Dave Watson, was badly hurt when he stepped on a roadside bomb in 2010.

    He had the surgery, which saw rods fitted to bones in his legs, to avoid having to wear sockets with his prosthetic legs, which in Dave's case kept failing.

  9. Two die in M6 crashpublished at 08:20

    Police say two people have died in a crash which has closed the M6 soutbound between Coventry and Rugby this morning.

    According to the fire service the accident involved a van and a lorry. 

    The carriageway is closed between J2, M69 for Coventry and J1, A426.

    One lane has been opened up at the scene to let vehicles past which had gone beyond the point of the closure.
