Jenny Birchall, head teacher at Oldswinford CE Primary School, has stressed there was no suggestion anyone from the school was involved in the indecent images of children taken by its former head Ross Workman - which he admitted before magistrates today.
She said: "We are aware of the court case involving a former employee, who resigned over a year ago. I would stress that there is no suggestion that the school, its staff, or the pupils of our school are involved in any way.”
Councillor Ian Cooper, Dudley's cabinet member for children’s services, said: “Mr Workman resigned from his post in January last year and therefore is no longer employed by the local authority.”

A Muslim convert planned to take her three young children to Syria to be reunited with their jihadi father, a court has heard.
Trainee maths teacher Lorna Moore, 33, from Glebe Street, Walsall, allegedly failed to tell authorities her supply teacher husband Sajid Aslam was poised to join Islamic State fighters.
Jurors at the Old Bailey were told Moore's husband was one of a group of friends who had left Walsall to join the terrorist organisation between July and December 2014.
Within months of her husband's arrival in Syria, Moore had booked flights to Palma, Majorca, but her final destination was given away in a text from another couple who had embarked on a journey towards the war-ridden state saying "see you there", jurors were told.
Moore denies failing to disclose information about acts of terrorism on or before 24 August 2014 that might be of assistance in securing the apprehension of Aslam.
The trial continues.

Birmingham Pride organisers say they have given almost £100,000 to good causes across the city from fundraising at the event, which attracts thousands of people every year.
More than £140,000 has been raised over the past three years as a result of the generosity of Birmingham Pride festival-goers and sponsors, they said today.
To date, 21 organisations ranging from St John Ambulance, Birmingham LGBT Centre, the Rainbow Voices Choir and Parkfield Community School have been given money from Birmingham Pride.
Other charities include St Basils, Birmingham to help its work tackling youth homelessness and SIFA Fireside helping elderly homelessness.

BBC Midlands TodayA judge has commended a former police sergeant for his bravery after he was shot and blinded in one eye in Staffordshire by a man with mental health issues.
Today a jury concluded Matthew Tearle, 35, fired a rubber ball from a paintball gun through the front door of his flat in Wat Tyler Close, Rugeley, hitting Jon King's eye.
Tearle, who has schizophrenia and Asperger's syndrome, was given a hospital order following the conclusion of a special finding of fact hearing at Stafford Crown Court.
In court, Judge Mark Eades commended Mr King, his colleagues and Tearle's mother and brother for their actions and awarded each of them a £250 High Sheriff of Staffordshire Award for their bravery.

BreakingA former head teacher at a Stourbridge school has admitted six charges of making indecent photographs of a child.
Ross Workman, aged 50, was arrested in November 2014 and was immediately suspended from Oldswinford C of E Primary school. Dudley Council said he resigned after charges were made against him.
He appeared before Dudley Magistrates' Court today and is due to be sentenced on 2 March. He has been conditionally bailed until then.
Police previously said there was no evidence of any inappropriate contact between the teacher and pupils at the school - and that letters were sent out to parents.
'Plebgate' row: Officer cleared of giving misleading account of Mitchell meetingpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2016
A highly commended officer has been cleared of misconduct in the "plebgate" row over his account of meeting with Sutton Coldfield MP Andrew Mitchell.
Det Sgt Stuart Hinton and two other Police Federation representatives met Mr Mitchell at his constituency office in October 2012, three weeks after the politician was involved in a well-publicised spat with Metropolitan Police officers at the Downing Street gates.
Image source, PAFollowing that meeting, the serving Warwickshire Police officer had been accused of giving a false impression of Mr Mitchell's explanation of the incident, in an interview with BBC Radio Five Live on 13 October.
A misconduct panel convened at the force's former headquarters found his on-air comments did not amount to dishonesty, discreditable conduct or a breach of integrity.

Home Affairs CorrespondentA judge has ordered a retrial in the case of two men from Birmingham who are accused of trying to smuggle themselves out of the UK to fight in Syria.
Anas Abdalla and Mahamuud Diini, both of Birmingham, had been on trial for almost a month at the Old Bailey when the case was stopped this morning.
The men, both 26, deny preparation for acts of terrorism by seeking to secretly leave the UK in the back of a lorry in April last year.
Discharging the jury, Judge Christopher Moss QC said that a matter had arisen that required him to restart proceedings.
