Julie Hambleton, whose 18-year-old sister Maxine was killed by a bomb at the Tavern in the Town pub in Birmingham in 1974, said after today's hearing was adjourned that the families' campaign had been "done in sorrow, not in anger".
She said: "We are here on behalf of our families who have been fighting for decades.
"All we want is what our loved ones deserve - the senior coroner can answer some of our unanswered questions."

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has defended the proposed new contracts at the centre of the dispute with junior doctors as "a good deal... a fair deal".
The key sticking point appears to be payments for working on Saturdays.
The British Medical Association wants the whole day to attract an unsociable hours premium, but ministers say the hours between 07:00 and 17:00 should be paid at the basic rate.
The government says it wants to improve staffing at the weekend, although some junior doctors have said patient care would suffer.

BBC Midlands TodaySenior coroner Louise Hunt said there was an "evidential vacuum" around the claims made by the families' lawyer.
She made an order requiring West Midlands Police to disclose to her (not publicly) documents and other evidence held by the force connected with the bombings.
Specifically she wants anything that may show that "the state" had advance warning of the bombings, any evidence regarding the response to the warning call, anything related to whether there was an informant, whether or not all "reasonable steps" were taken, whether records may have been falsified to protect an informant or anyone else, and a summary of investigations into the bombings.
She gave the police the deadline of 23 March to provide this information but says that date may be flexible. She says she will take a decision on reopening the inquests on 6 April. The hearing has now been adjourned.

BBC Midlands TodayLawyer Clair Dobbin, acting for West Midlands Police Federation, which represents rank and file officers, expressed doubt about whether enough evidence existed to resume inquests for the 21 victims of the Birmingham pub bombings in 1974.
Peter Skelton QC, independent counsel for HM Coroner, said, contrary to submissions from West Midlands Police, that in his view the coroner did have jurisdiction to hear reopened inquests.
He posed a rhetorical question: "If you don't have powers to investigate these deaths, what function do you have?"

The Court of Appeal is sitting in the city after the Solicitor General said the sentences were too lenient.
The gun-dealing ring was said to have close links to the Burger Bar boys - a notorious gang in Birmingham.

Political Reporter, BBC WMAkhtar Javeed's daughter Lilas, aged 30, says "nothing will fill the hole left in our hearts" after he was shot dead in a warehouse raid in Digbeth.
West Midlands Police say five members of staff were tied up during the attempted robbery. The force said Mr Javeed resisted handing over cash and was shot inside.
The attackers fled empty-handed. Despite a major neck wound, the force said Mr Javeed was able to escape from his assailants and flee outside the unit where he collapsed before he died.
Officers are now looking for two people who may have vital information - a worker pushing a bike and a private hire driver.

Political Reporter, BBC WMThe family of a company director shot and killed during a warehouse raid have paid an emotional tribute to him as a "humble, simple family man".
Masked men raided Akhtar Javeed's fast food and drink warehouse Direct Source 3 in the Digbeth area of Birmingham on 3 February.
His daughter said Mr Javeed, originally from Gujarat in Pakistan, was a father of four and a grandfather and had moved to Birmingham two years ago to establish a new business and "build something to support the family" when a previous venture "did not go so well". Direct Source 3 employed 16 people.

A 16-year-old boy who rammed into a police car has been arrested after leading officers on a 10-minute car chase.
The teenager drove away when asked to stop by officers on Monday evening in Erdington, Birmingham.
He then led police on a chase, going over a central reservation and on to the wrong side of a dual carriageway, police said.
