    Here are the top stories in the BBC WM newsroom on Wednesday:

    - Birmingham's senior coroner will today be asked to resume an inquest for the 21 victims of the 1974 pub bombings in the city

    - Junior doctors are on strike today in their continuing row over pay and working hours

    - There will be an internal investigation at a Walsall funeral home where it is claimed coffins were stored in corridors

  3. Birmingham pub bombings: Call for inquest to resumepublished at 08:16 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2016

    A senior coroner will be asked today to resume an inquest into the deaths of the victims of the Birmingham pub bombings

    A total of 21 people died when bombs were detonated in the Mulberry Bush and the Tavern in the Town in 1974. 

    The original inquests were adjourned when six people were jailed - but those convictions were later overturned and the inquests never resumed.
