    Great Britain begin their defence of the Davis Cup against Japan in Birmingham later with Andy Murray up against Taro Daniel in the opening match

    - Birmingham City's winning goal against Hull City moves the club to within a point of the Championship play-offs

    He's ranked as the second best male tennis player in the world and he's in Birmingham. It is of course, Andy Murray.

    Today 9,000 fans are expected to head to the city to support the British team as they defend their Davis Cup title. 

    Solihull's Dan Evans will join Andy Murray for the opening singles matches against Japan at the Barclaycard Arena. 

    Britain lifted the trophy last November for the first time in more than 70 years.

    The A45 Coventry Road in Elmdon is partially blocked after an accident westbound near the Damson Parkway junction.

    Stourbridge Road in Wombourne is partially blocked southbound between the Beggars Bush Lane junction and the B4176 junction because of a broken-down vehicle.  

    Stafford Street in Walsall is closed at the A4148 Day Street junction, because of a police incident.

    Birmingham City dented Hull City's automatic promotion hopes as they clinched victory with Jon Toral's first-half strike.
