I have spoken to residents near the discovery of the undetonated explosive at a building site in Chasetown.
They say the area was used as a munitions dump after the war.
Neighbour John Hayward told me he had raised concerns about plans for 370 houses there before yesterday's device was found, and now was calling for building work to be halted immediately pending a full inquiry into the safety of the site itself.
