More on the Dudley driving instructor who has been jailed for four years for sexually assaulting six pupils.
West Midlands Police said Gary Rolinson, formerly of Andover Road, Kingswinford, would manipulate his students by attempting to excuse and justify his behaviour as a bit of fun.
The force said when one of them objected to him putting his hands on his thigh, Rolinson said to the youth: “Don’t come with me if you can’t take a joke".
Another teen told officers he felt he had to “go along with the banter", fearing that if he didn’t he wouldn’t get on with the instructor. He only realised it was something more serious when Rolinson put his hands down his trousers.
And a third victim disclosed how Rolinson once warned him - after months of abuse - about “some lad" who had broken his trust and said: “I’m glad I can trust you. You won’t tell anyone."

A legal challenge has postponed the publication of a report into alleged irregularities in the sale of properties formerly owned by Sandwell Council, according to its chief executive.
The authority brought in solicitors Wragge & Co - now called Gowling WLG - to investigate after allegations were made of irregularities regarding the sale of former Sandwell Council properties between June 2012 and September 2014 including a former coroner's office in Smethwick.
