A scooter ride who crashed into a tree in Cannock has died, external, police have confirmed today.
Staffordshire Police say Daniel Harper, 19, from the Bilston area, hit the tree on the Mill Green Nature Reserve area, Lichfield Road, on Sunday.
He was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham but died there.
His family have appealed for information following his death, saying Daniel "will be missed by all that knew him, he will be in our hearts forever".

Four plumbers from a firm in Birmingham, who have been jailed for over-charging elderly and vulnerable people in Staffordshire, have been called "scandalous".
Staffordshire County Council say Plumb-Tech charged one couple, external around £900 for changing a tap - almost nine times the going rate.
The authority says it's found 14 elderly victims who were affected between March 2014 and January 2016.
Sandra Stirzaker (featured in video) says she got them in to fix a leaky tap and was quoted £1,300 for the work.
The four plumbers pleaded guilty between them to 14 charges of fraud by false representation at Stafford Crown Court and were jailed for sentences of between nine and 32 months.

A court's heard from football fans in the trial of five teenagers accused of an "unprovoked" attack on a Watford fan following a Wolves match in March last year.
Today the trial heard that as Nic Cruwys walked back to the train station in Wolverhampton after the match on 7 March 2015, it is said that he was attacked by a group of youths.
One witness described seeing Mr Cruwys come under attack along with another man and then, later, seeing Mr Cruwys lying unconscious on the ground with blood coming from his nose.
Four 19-year-olds, including one from Staffordshire, and a 15-year-old deny grievous bodily harm with intent. The trial continues.
A social experiment has revealed people in Coventry are the most likely to return a child's lost teddy bear, compared to their West Midlands neighbours in Warwick, Stratford, Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent.
A total of 500 teddy bears were intentionally lost in 25 major towns and cities, each in a different location, such as a café, gym or park bench, between May to June this year.
All had name-tags with a child’s name and contact number, to see which places and type of person were most likely to return a lost bear.
My Nametags, which commissioned the research, said Coventry came in seventh place overall out of 25 for the most bears returned. York came top.

A mother from Walsall, whose son lost three limbs following meningitis, has urged the government to introduce vaccination for all children.
Julie Tuckley has been campaigning for the meningitis B vaccine since four-year-old Tommy was diagnosed as a baby.
Although the vaccination now available to newborns on the NHS, her younger daughter isn't eligible because she's too old.
Health officials say they have to prioritise those most at risk.
